You start with German either in Year 7 (depending on your form group) or in Year 8. You use the Echo textbook if you start in Year 7 or the Echo Express textbook if you start in Year 8.

You have 2 lessons of German per week and go to the language laboratory once every fortnight. At GCSE level you have to study at least one foreign language, however you could study two (French and German).

Every two years an exchange with a German grammar school in Bavaria takes place.
